Amazon UK is preparing for Sony's upcoming PS5 "The Future of Gaming" event, pushing dozens of placeholder listings for new games. With their announcement tomorrow, the listings will be fleshed out with official information and will then allow for pre-orders. For now, PlayStation fans can only guess at what each game might be. One listing, titled "2020 Dummy ASIN Konami Game 2 PS5," is already causing a lot of speculation. Some believe it may even be for the oft-rumored Silent Hill game said to be in development.

To make matters clear, there's no hard evidence of Silent Hill being related to the new listings. It's just a matter of speculation. The evidence at hand being that Konami only has one other game that's likely to be represented during Sony's PS5 game showcase. That game being the next annual Pro Evolution Soccer game. With that in mind, note that the Amazon UK listing says "Konami Game 2," hinting that Konami has two different games for PS5 likely to be revealed.

Even then, speculation regarding what Konami's two games could be does seems a stretch given the lack of official information. Konami could feasibly reveal any two games. However, one of the most prominent leakers for the rumored Silent Hill game, as well as previously confirmed leaks regarding the Resident Evil franchise, thinks otherwise.

Dusk Golem has previously gone on record saying that the new Silent Hill game is likely to be announced at Sony's June PS5 event, or if now that at a later Sony event in August. Dusk Golem doesn't say explicitly that they know it'll be announced, but only that they expect it based on insider information. In their latest tweet, Dusk Golem believes that the new Amazon listings are contributory evidence that Konami is ready to make its announcements, which likely means the new Silent Hill will be revealed tomorrow.

The new Silent Hill game, according to Dusk Golem's leaks, is being developed by Sony's Gravity Rush team. The team is headed by Keiichiro Toyama, the original creator of Silent Hill. it's supposed to be a soft reboot of the franchise made by a medium-sized dev team. None of this is confirmed, but given Dusk Golem's track record the rumor is more reliable than most.

PlayStation fans won't have to wait long to find out more. The PS5 "The Future of Gaming" event airs tomorrow, June 11. The new Silent Hill game will hopefully be revealed there, or potentially in August otherwise.

The rumored Silent Hill game is said to be in development for the PS5.
