The Silent Hill 2 remake is being developed by Bloober Team, the studio best known for games like Layers of Fear and The Medium. The Medium itself had a lot in common with classic Silent Hill games, so it seems like the Silent Hill 2 remake is likely in good hands. Original artist Masahiro Ito and original composer Akira Yamaoka are also involved in the game's development. For the most part, it looks like the Silent Hill 2 remake will be faithful to the original game, but with updated graphics and important changes to help it meet modern standards, like switching to an over-the-shoulder camera and using motion capture for the animations.
