Fans of Silent Hill have long awaited a new entry to the horror series, which sadly doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. However, those who particularly love Silent Hill 2 and its horrifying humanoid monsters can at least look forward to something, as Silent Hill 2's Pyramid Head and Bubble Head Nurse are returning in Figma form.

Figma are extremely posable action figures originating in Japan. In addition to smooth posable joints, most Figma also feature additional pieces, like swappable hands, props, and face plates with different facial expressions. The Silent Hill 2 Figma were originally released years ago, but they've since left production, becoming somewhat rare and only available via re-sellers, up until this re-release.

Now, Silent Hill's Pyramid Head and the Bubble Head Nurse are available for pre-order for $83.99 and $73.99, respectively. Pyramid Head comes with both his Great Knife and spear, as well as swappable hands and a stand. Bubble Head Nurse ships with a knife and metal pipe, and additional head parts, along with extra hands and a stand. The pre-order period for both Figma will run until December 2, and they're expected to ship in August 2021.

Although Silent Hill is essentially dead in the water as a series, several of the games and their starring characters have been back in the limelight as of late. Mods have brought Silent Hill to other horror games like Amnesia, while Dead by Daylight's developers worked with Konami to bring Silent Hill's Heather Mason and Cybil Bennett to the title as playable characters, forced to face Pyramid Head himself.

Unfortunately, despite nearly constant rumors of a new Silent Hill emerging following the cancellation of Silent Hills, nothing concrete has been revealed by Konami. Silent Hill fans have recently urged Sony to try and purchase the rights to Silent Hill, if not all of Konami's titles, as the developer seems content to let several of its major hit games sit by the wayside. However, the likelihood of this happening seems low.

For the time being, fans will just have to hold onto their Silent Hill nostalgia and enjoy the small morsels that have been offered to the fanbase recently. While the Silent Hill Remastered collection from several years ago was critically panned due to being severely buggy, players may be happy to know that Silent Hill: The Room released for PC recently, giving fans a chance to revisit the fourth entry to the series.
