Shroud has been a popular streamer for a while, playing well-loved games such as Valorant, Fall Guys, and Call of Duty: Warzone. Since returning to Twitch earlier this month, his platform has been growing at an impressive rate, and now he has proven himself to be the fastest growing streamer on the platform.

After Microsoft suddenly shut down Mixer in July, Shroud took a short break before moving back to Twitch. Since he returned to the older platform, many of his followers from Mixer flocked to watch him play various games on Twitch. Because of this, his channel has had the largest increase in followers by far when compared to other streamers on the platform.

According to TwitchMetrics at the time this is being reported, Shroud had gained 1,081,831 new followers over the past 30 days. Because of this massive influx of new followers, he has risen to the third most followed streamer on Twitch with 8.1 million. Tfue is second place at this category with 8.9 million, and is a few thousand followers away from reaching 9 million. At the rate that Shroud is growing, he may soon overtake Tfue for the second place spot on the platform. While Ninja hasn't been incredibly consistent with his streaming times, he is still sitting comfortably at the highest follower count on Twitch at 15 million. It doesn't seem like he will be unseated from that position any time soon, but Shroud is gaining new followers at a much faster rate than the iconic Fortnite legend. Only time will tell if Shroud's follower count can surpass Ninja's, but at the rate Shroud is growing, it doesn't seem like this is an unobtainable goal anymore.

Due to his recent surge in success, many brands have jumped to sponsor Shroud. Recently, he announced a sponsorship from Budlight for participating in the brand's "Battle of the Best" tournament with other names like TimTheTatman, Dr Lupo, and Gold Glove. While some fans were upset that he was being used as an ad, many are looking forward to watching Shroud compete against "some real gamers and TimTheTatman."

Even Shroud was surprised by his comeback, saying that he didn't expect so many players to watch him in the way that they have. However, he's shown himself to be a great, genuine entertainer, and many of his fans trust his insights into the games he plays. Despite how toxic his Twitch chat can be, many of his viewers truly enjoy watching his streams.
