In Shin Megami Tensei 5, there are Key Items called "Talismans" that unlock special Magatsuhi Skills. Like most special items in video games, these can be obtained through completing sidequests or finding collectibles, such as the Miman.

Using the Talismans in Shin Megami Tensei 5 isn't difficult and requires no effort in combat. However, to unlock better Magatsuhi Skills, players will need to collect all 33 Talismans.

About Talismans

1 (2)shin megami tensei 5 magatsuhi skills

Every race in Shin Megami Tensei 5 has a respective Talisman. An example of a Magatsuhi Skill is Omagatoki: Luck, which is usable by the Genma and Element races. Unlike the Omagatoki: Critical, players can only use this when they've achieved the Element Talisman. This is a reward from Gustave for collecting 10 Miman.

Thankfully, players won't need to equip Talismans on party members. By simply having the Talisman in the Inventory, the Talisman's Magatsuhi Skill will be available in combat. Magatsuhi Skills can be used on any turn in battle as long as the red Magatsuhi Bar is full. Unlike the other 8 skill slots, Magatsuhi Skills are not a part of the Press Turn system.

Only demons of a certain race can use certain Talismans. Meaning a Femme Race won't be able to use the Haunt Talisman, but it can use the Femme Talisman's ability instead.

A good way to keep up the Magatsuhi Bar is by obtaining more Glory. With Glory, players can purchase Miracles that will fill up the Magatsuhi Bar faster. This means the Magatsuhi Skills from Talismans can be used more frequently.
