Patty Guggenheim, who played the breakout character Madisynn on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, is absolutely here for all the memes. After stealing the show in her 1-episode (so far) appearance, her unflappable party girl with an affinity for Showtime dramas became a hit overnight, which is no small feat in this surprisingly hilarious show.

Guggenheim's She-Hulk character quickly captured the hearts of fans everywhere, and the people showed their appreciation in the noblest of methods: through memes. This was partially prompted by Titania actress Jameela Jamil, who tweeted, "I can't sleep because I GENUINELY feel like Madisynn could have beaten Thanos by herself. With just a cocktail in her hand." Fellow enjoyers of Guggenheim's performance quickly followed up with more visual interpretations of the idea, much to the delight of the star herself.

When asked by Marvel.com which of the various memes and reactions to her character made her laugh, Guggenheim was quickly able to answer. "So many things. I mean, Thanos and me. And did you see that one?" she mused, referring to a meme depicting Jamil's hilarious hypothetical situation. "I know she could [defeat Thanos]! It's just funny to see the Infinity Stones with a drink in her hand, those really made me laugh. It's been very, very entertaining and very fun." Clearly, the fans aren't the only ones tickled pink over this, the age of Madisynn.

It's not just the memes, though. Guggenheim is down for everything the audiences cook up. That even includes fans coming up to her and spelling "Madisynn" at her. "Yes. I'm ready right now," she said when asked if she is prepared for a lifetime of this. "If I'm 95 and it's still happening, maybe not. I think it's just awesome. That’s what's so fun about the Marvel universe, in general, is everyone's invested and interested and excited and it just is a breeding ground for energy. It feels like real-life magic when people are excited about things like that. Yeah. So I would, I would love that and I'll [spell Madisynn] with them."

Madisynn took everyone by surprise, and that was even before the ad-libbed scene between her and her new BFF Wong (Benedict Wong). But she's also a great example of what makes She-Hulk such a good show. It's pretty much the first time a Marvel Studios property has been allowed to be genuinely funny without it being in service of some larger narrative. With its much more episodic structure than most other Marvel Studios projects, it gives those involved the freedom to tell self-contained stories. This focus on less of an overarching plot means some parts can just be funny for the sake of being funny without feeling like they're taking away from anything.

With one-off standouts like Guggenheim's Madisynn and the knockoff superhero gear merchant, She-Hulk is proving that comic book movies and shows don't all have to be so dire. As good as shows like Ms. Marvel are, their more serious tone could always use a little levity to cleanse the palate, and She-Hulk appears more than happy to serve that purpose (while also being truly excellent on its own).
