WayForward's Shantae has often made it to the list of DLC fighters people want in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as her original appearance was on the Game Boy Color. Today the indie developer announced that the belly dancer's latest adventure Shantae and the Seven Sirens will be released on May 28 for $29.99 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

The first half of the Shantae game first released as a timed exclusive for Apple Arcade in October 2019 after being announced last March. For those playing on iOS devices through this period of exclusivity, the second half of the game also released through an update today, providing the fifth game in the Shantae series its "epic conclusion" according to the news release put out by WayForward.

Alongside the announcement comes a new gameplay trailer for Shantae and the Seven Sirens, as well as more anime-style animated cutscenes by Studio TRIGGER. The last game in the series was Shantae: Half-Genie Hero in 2016 following an extensive Kickstarter campaign. Half-Genie Hero was one of the free games available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers in February.

Fans of Shantae who have been hesitant or unable to pick up the game due to its Apple Arcade exclusivity should be thrilled by this announcement, as they only have to wait a few more weeks to get their hands on WayForward's latest flagship title.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens is available now on Apple Arcade. It will be released May 28 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
