Marvel Studios' Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings recently began streaming on Disney Plus, resulting in a lot of social media chatter around the film once again. Lead actor Simu Liu, who is known for being quite active on social media, joined in on the fun by releasing an exclusive 'Simu Cut' of one of the fight scenes in the film.

The video clip showcases the fight scene between siblings Shang-Chi and Xialing, portrayed by Meng'er Zhang, in the very popular Marvel Studios film. When posting the video on Twitter, Liu made a Snyder Cut joke and wrote, “I’m doing it. I’m releasing the Simu Cut.” The video, obviously edited, got a good laugh from Liu’s Twitter followers, with many asking for the actor’s version of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to be released as soon as possible.

Fans who have seen Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will know that the siblings unite in Macau after several years of escaping their father Wenwu. The Ten Rings attack Shang-Chi, which leads to the epic fight on a bus, and steal an heirloom that was passed on by his mother. The titular character is aware that his sister, Xialing, has a matching necklace, and so he arrives at an underground fight club in Macau to search for her. Their meeting doesn’t go as planned, as Shang-Chi is pitted against Xialing in a cage fight and gets beat down.

While the siblings battled it out in the film, fans cheered for their favorite character. However, the edited video that Liu shared on Twitter puts Shang-Chi at a disadvantage, with Xialing kicking him in the genitalia several times. In past interviews, Liu has joked about how he would lose if he ever had to fight Zhang in real life, and the video is the perfect visualization of such an event ever occurring. The fight is quite painful to watch and is probably an aggravating experience for the lead character.

Liu’s comment is a take on the Snyder Cut fiasco that went on for years before Zack Snyder's Justice League was finally released in March of this year. Fans who didn’t appreciate Joss Whedon’s theatrical version of Justice League demanded that Warner Bros. release Snyder’s version of the film. It is already known that the Snyder Cut added lots of footage, which was originally shot for the film, to the theatrical version of Justice League. The film’s aspect ratio was also altered, which created a unique viewing experience for fans.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is now streaming on Disney Plus.
