New information regarding Flying Wild Hog's new game, Shadow Warrior 3, has leaked online via listings in both the Xbox and PlayStation Stores.

The game will be released on March 1, and fans who preorder it will receive a limited edition DLC katana skin, as well as the full versions of both Shadow Warrior 1 and its sequel, Shadow Warrior 2.

In Shadow Warrior 3 players will see fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang, along with his former employer turned sidekick Orochi Zilla, try and recapture an ancient dragon from its eternal prison in a Neo Feudal Japan overrun by the demonic Yokai from Japanese folklore. It's a preposterous chain of events that they themselves help set in motion, and they need to find the mask of a dead god, a dragon's egg, and enough magic and firepower to fend off the impending apocalypse.

The game promises to combine fast-paced gunplay with razor-sharp katana combat and a free-running movement system that includes air dashes, wall running, double jumps, and the addition of a grappling hook.

Back in October, publisher Devolver Digital and developer Flying Wild Hog announced Shadow Warrior 3's delay because they felt the game needed more development time to make the highest quality game possible.

Just last week, the official Shadow Warrior Twitter account poked fun at the claim that Dying Light 2: Stay Human would take 500 hours to complete by saying it too would take 500 hours to complete Shadow Warrior 3, that is as long as fans played it 60 times. Doing the math, that breaks down to about eight hours of actual gameplay in order to make it through the third installment of the Shadow Warrior series.

Both the Xbox and PlayStation Store listings have been updated, but the Steam listing has not. With a retail price of $49.99 that includes three full games plus in-game bonuses, it's the most comprehensive bundle out there for the over-the-top first-person shooter series.

There is some fine print that PlayStation 5 owners should be aware of that can be found at the very bottom of the PlayStation Store listing. While it appears the game is playable on the PS5, some of the features that are available in the PS4 version may be absent. Additionally, PS5 owners will also need to make sure their console is updated with the latest system software.

Shadow Warrior 3 is being developed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
