About a week ago, Square Enix revealed its official trailer for the upcoming action-adventure game, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which is in development by Eidos Montreal. Since its launch, more and more information has been revealed about the game and in a recent interview, Eidos Montreal has revealed a few new details about Lara Croft's latest adventure.

Notably, it was revealed the game would have multiple hubs, including the biggest hub of any Tomb Raider game; moreover, it was also suggested that the aforementioned hub may change throughout the course of the game, depending on the decisions players make. Jill Murray, the lead writer, and Vincent Monnier, the gameplay director, both seemingly corroborated this point.

In fact, Monnier went as far as to say “the hub has a different aspect to it because of the living world. There is much more we can work with, with how the player plays and what the player has achieved during the game.” Notably, though, this doesn’t confirm how the hub will change, but it is nevertheless an interesting addition to a longstanding series.

However, it’s worth noting that players will need to accomplish a lot in a relatively short amount of time, as it was recently revealed that Shadow of the Tomb Raider could be beaten in 15 hours. This time doesn’t count any side content, which could also potentially affect the hub, but that remains to be seen. Another fact revealed by Murray and Monnier is tombs, which were absent from the official trailer, won’t have to be solved via trial and error.

While there isn’t much known yet about the game, perhaps more will be learned at his year’s E3. A major detail that is known is that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will feature a Standard Edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition, Croft Edition, Digital Croft Edition, and a Collector’s Edition with a Season Pass, although exact details of the aforementioned versions of the game are unknown.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is scheduled to release on September 14, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
