Session: Skate Sim is a game that is in the simulation genre. This time, the player takes control of their skateboarder as they roam through the streets, practicing their skateboarding and enacting as many tricks as they can. It is a concept that is easy to pick up, but hard to master.

As such, there are many people who will end up starting off on the wrong foot when it comes to Session: Skate Sim and play either wrong or in a very inconvenient way. There are a few mistakes that many new players might end up making, and ways to avoid them during gameplay.

7 Forgetting To Go Through Different Environments

There are multiple types of environments that a player can get to go through in the game Session: Skate Sim - from the city to the simple skate park. However, a lot of players simply forget to put the environment to good use.

Players can actually use stairwells, banisters, and the edges of buildings in order to learn how to skate. A lot of players may think they are stuck only practicing at skate parks when the game can let the player improve pretty much anywhere on the map.

6 Keeping The Trick Display Off

Learning how to do tricks in Session: Skate Sim is going to be easier than trying to learn them in real life. This is mainly because of the trick display, which can let the player know about the difference between stunts as they go through them.

However, the main problem is that a lot of players end up keeping the trick display off during gameplay. This would, in turn, end up making the difficulty curve worse for them in the end, because a player will not really know what they are doing until they somehow stumble across the trick.

5 Failing To Master The (Admittedly) Complicated Controls

The controls in the game Session: Skate Sim are complicated. This is an unfortunate truth and something that many players are just going to have to get used to when they go through the game.

This does, however, make it easy for a player to forget about how to control the game. Luckily, there is a way for a player to pop into the game's menu and refresh themselves on what each control does in the game.

4 Trying To Naturally Discover Tricks

Although the game Session: Skate Sim does not have any unlockable tricks or skills for a player to grind for (thus making everything a game of discovery) and prioritizes letting a player find them naturally, that is actually not exactly the best thing possible. It is rather difficult for a player, especially a newer one, to naturally figure out a trick.

There is a trick list for players to read through in order to figure out just what they are doing. It would be wise for a player to learn these tricks as soon as possible by reading through the game, as it is much easier than trying to discover them via trial and error.

3 Rushing Through GamePlay

This mistake does not apply if a player is specifically playing the game Session: Skate Sim with the intention of speedrunning the whole way through. That is a completely different matter. However, there are still people who do not speed run yet still rush through gameplay.

This would be a pretty big mistake, as Session: Skate Sim is one of those games where it is pretty difficult for a player to go through the game without spending some decent time in it. It would be best for a player to just take their time while going through the game.

2 Taking The Long Way Around Areas

A payer will have to make their way to a skate park one way or another - many players will simply walk to the park or find a bus stop. What a lot of players do not know, though, is that there is a much faster way to get across the area.

Instead of looking for a bus stop, a player can simply go back to their apartment via the menu, go back out again, and then immediately pick a location. It is much quicker and more efficient.

1 Keeping The Starting Point Where It Was

A lot of players will not realize this at first, but it is actually possible for them to change their starting point - that is, when they try and start a trick, fail it, and end up halfway across where they need to be, it would be easier to just hit a button and return to the starting point. However, not many players know that.

The starting point can be changed at any point, making it easier to keep repeating a trick over and over again with relatively little interruption. It may be one of the player's best choices, in fact.

Session: Skate Sim is available on PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, and Series S.
