Besides revealing the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Collector's Edition and confirming its release date, Activision reiterated that Gamescom 2018 attendees will be able to go hands-on with the game. Exactly what this Gamescom 2018 demo will entail remains to be seen, but Activision did tease that attendees will experience the game's sword combat, along with the "Shinobi Prosthetic" feature.

The Shinobi Prosthetic feature in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will allow players to "reconstruct" the protagonist's prosthetic arm for various combat advantages. Different Prosthetic Tools can be used to exploit certain enemies' weaknesses, and players will likely have to experiment to discover which Prosthetic Tool is best used for each occasion. Specifics regarding this feature haven't been shared yet, but more information should come to light this week as those at Gamescom try the demo.

In the meantime, Gamescom 2018 attendees will also have a chance to try out Sekiro's somewhat controversial resurrection ability. For the uninitiated, Sekiro will actually let players resurrect themselves after they die in battle, but despite this, the game is apparently still more difficult than the Dark Souls series. The resurrection ability is somewhat hard to wrap one's head around, but hopefully seeing it in action will make things a little clearer.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will launch on March 22, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
