As is the case with From Software's Souls series and BloodborneSekiro: Shadows Die Twice features multiple finales, and players will need to plan for several playthroughs if they wish to get all endings. For those that are interested in seeing everything that the game has to offer, and obtaining all of Sekiro's achievements, this is what is required in order to unlock the four endings.

How to Get the Shura Ending

The Shura ending is the quickest to obtain, and accessing it grants the Shura achievement.

To begin your journey towards this ending, learn how to beat Corrupted Monk, and then slay him and the Guardian Ape. From there, Great Shinobi Owl waits for the player's arrival at the rooftop of Ashina Castle, and speaking with him grants two choices: obey him or Kuro. Choose to obey Owl in order to initiate two boss fights and the Shura ending.

How to Get the Purification Ending

Again Sekiro players will be meeting Owl atop the Ashina Castle rooftop, but this time choose to obey Kuro. This will initiate a battle with Owl, and afterwards, there are several steps to follow to obtain the Purification ending and the corresponding Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice achievement. The steps are as follows:

  1. Visit Lord Isshin in Ashina Castle and eavesdrop on him and Emma.
  2. Visit Kuro's room and eavesdrop on him.
  3. Rest and return to Emma to discuss Kuro. Agree with her.
  4. Rest and speak with Emma again.
  5. Travel to the Old Grave Idol, go left to the graves, and speak with Emma.
  6. Travel to the Sculptor's location and eavesdrop from behind the building.
  7. Speak with Emma again to receive a bell to be used at the Buddha statue.
  8. Visit the location where Wolf beat Lady Butterfly and defeat Owl.

How to Get the Immortal Severance Ending

As with the Purification ending, players will visit Owl on the Ashina Castle rooftop. Choose to stay loyal to Kuro and defeat Owl. However, instead of returning to Hirata Estate, simply follow the story to the conclusion. This will grant the player the Immortal Severance ending and achievement.

How to Get the Return Ending

As with the Immortal Severance ending, players will simply be following Sekiro's story to its conclusion for the Return ending and achievement. That said, they will need to fulfill the following criteria before defeating the game's final boss:

Gather the two Serpentine Fruits:

The first fruit can be obtained by traveling to the area before the Guardian Ape's location. Here, head to the very bottom of the area to find a cave with a Great Serpent in it. Follow the path and drop down on the left side once the snake's head is visible. Now, cast Puppeteer Ninjutsu on the monkey to the distract the snake, which will allow the player enter its lair and obtain the item.

For the second fruit, players will need to know how to get to Senpou Temple. Travel there and jump to the right of the exit near the area's first Sculptor's Idol. Here, players will find a kite mechanism and an enemy. Simply cast Puppeteer Ninjutsu on this enemy, follow the path and grapple the kite, and then kill the Great Serpent found in this new area to obtain its fruit.

Speak with the Divine Child:

First, learn how to dive underwater in Sekiro, and then obtain the scroll located in the pond at the Temple Grounds Idol in Senpou Temple. Now, visit the Inner Sanctum and give the Divine Child the scroll. This will cause her to disappear, and Wolf will follow her into the Hall of Illusions.

Here, speak with the Divine Child again, and then follow her back to the Inner Sanctum once more. Converse with her at this location, and then find the monk she references in the cave next to the temple. Bring the item that from the monk back to the Divine Child to start a dialogue about the serpentine fruit.

Players will now be able to feed the fruit to the Divine Child, and they will receive Dragon Tears in the process. Use these on Kuro after finishing the final boss to trigger the Return ending.

While some players may be wondering how long does it take to beat Sekiro, this multitude of endings means that the game has much more to offer beyond a single playthrough. This fact, combined with what New Game+ brings to the table, means that fans that are really enjoying the title can look forward to spending a lot of time with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
