Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice offers players a hardcore experience, as they struggle to defeat the myriad of bosses in the game such as the Chained Ogre or the Lady Butterfly. But this experience is locked at 60 frames per second, so many may feel like they aren't getting exactly what they want. Now, however, a modder by the name of jackfuste has created a mod that unlocks the frame rate for the PC version of the game.

Before moving forward, it's worth mentioning that those trying out this Sekiro mod should be aware that it could lead to bugs, glitches, crashing or worse. This means that only those who truly want an unlocked framerate should pursue this. Initial comments on the mod suggest that it is working perfectly, but everyone will likely want to test this for themselves, as performance may change depending on the PC rig.

To download the mod, click here. Once that is done, Sekiro players will want to unpack it using Steamless and run the patcher to apply it to Sekiro.exe. This should officially unlock Sekiro's framerate, allowing those to test the limits and go beyond 60fps.

With how many bosses are in the game, Sekiro players will be able to enjoy this mod as they face the myriad bosses such as Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa and Genichiro Ashina. It's worth mentioning that the latter cannot be killed (but he can be beaten in a way) the first time around, as the events afterward are necessary to the plot, and defeating the former is necessary for unlocking upgrades for the prosthetic.

Locked or unlocked framerate, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has received universal acclaim from a number of major gaming publications. This is likely due to its rewarding, if incredibly rough, combat and stealth elements. So, at the end of the day, it appears that Sekiro is a through-and-through From Software title living up to all the expectations.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
