Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is essentially a series of incredibly hard boss fights, with plenty of mini-bosses in-between. Some of these mini-bosses can give Sekiro players a serious run for their money and can be just as tough as the main bosses, like the notorious Headless boss and Armored Warrior.

Armored Warrior is encountered right before the boss fight/puzzle that is the Folding Screen Monkeys encounter. Armored Warrior is the biggest obstacle between Sekiro players and the Folding Screen Monkeys, and he has to be defeated if players hope to continue the story. Luckily, there are ways to make the tough fight with Armored Warrior a bit easier.

How to Beat Armored Warrior

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice players will notice that Armored Warrior doesn't appear to take any damage to his health bar, only his posture, which makes the boss fight a little confusing for some. The trick is that Sekiro players have to bait Armored Warrior to falling off the bridge and to his death.

To do this, players need to lower Armored Warrior's posture meter. This is mainly done by deflecting and dodging his attacks, while taking some swipes at him when he's open. The Mirki Counter skill is a huge help in this battle, as it will allow players to block an otherwise unavoidable thrust attack from Armored Warrior.

Once players have Armored Warrior's attack pattern down, they need to bait him into destroying the panels on the side of the bridge, which will expose the cliff side. When this is done, players need to stagger Armored Warrior near the hole in the bridge wall by lowering his posture meter. If done properly, Sekiro players should be prompted to deliver a deathblow, which will send Armored Warrior falling off the cliff and to his death.

Rewards for Beating Armored Warrior

Upon defeating Armored Warrior, Sekiro players will be rewarded with a Prayer Bead that can be used to raise Wolf's maximum health. They will also learn the skill Breath of Nature: Shadow, which lets Wolf recover posture after dealing a deathblow.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
