A recent Sega financial report reveals the company's plans to release at least 12 non-mobile platform games for the 2023-24 fiscal year. Sega has had a rather impressive 2022-2023 fiscal year, which was noted in the parent company's results presentation from last week. The whole company had a solid performance in terms of sales, reporting on the games that had the best sales in that period, along with insights for future games released by the publisher.

Sega reports its strongest-selling games were Persona 5 Royal and Sonic Frontiers, the former being a port of Atlus' JRPG to several platforms including the Nintendo Switch and PC, with the latter being a brand-new 3D multiplatform Sonic the Hedgehog game. Both Persona 5 Royal and Sonic Frontiers had crossed impressive milestones in the 2022 fiscal year, with Persona 5 Royal's port selling over 1.7 million units and Sonic Frontiers closing out 2023 with over 3.2 million units. In terms of Sega's upcoming library of games, the company expects the sales of new games to increase.
