Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise seems to be working hard this 2021. Not only did the series launch the new Monster Hunter Rise for the Nintendo Switch in March, 2021 also saw the release of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin on the same platform. Now, Capcom is taking its marketing campaigns even further by collaborating with well-known gaming chair brand Secretlab. The two companies recently unveiled a new design for one of Secretlab's gaming chairs, featuring the original flagship monster of the series, Rathalos.

The Monster Hunter series has always been well-known by the gaming community as having a niched yet dedicated fanbase. Not only do its players spend hours grinding on the video games, they also patronize Capcom's collaborations with different brands. This can be seen in the Monster Hunter cafe and bar in Japan, and the partnerships with mainstream consumer brands such as Uniqlo. Assuming that Monster Hunter players often sit for hours at a time while playing the various titles, it seems pretty strategic that Capcom's next collaboration would be with a gaming chair brand like Secretlab.

On Twitter, both the official accounts of Monster Hunter and Secretlab shared the news that a new design for Secretlab's TITAN Evo 2022 gaming chair was available in a Monster Hunter edition. According to the tweets, the chair will feature a 4-way adaptable back support, and a special design that centers around the iconic fire-breathing wyvern Rathalos. Most fans of the games would likely not be surprised in the choice of the featured monster, given that the Rathalos is the series' first flagship monster. The Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Monster Hunter Edition will also be accented with red scale designs on the body and seat, while the front and back will be emblazoned with artwork of the Rathalos.

As of writing, the Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Monster Hunter chair is already on its second wave of pre-orders, with the first batch for shipping on December 16 already sold out. For the second batch, the estimated delivery period is slated for December 23 or earlier for customers in the United States. Given how fast the Monster Hunter edition is selling out at the price of $479 USD, interested buyers should head over to the site and pre-order before Secretlab runs out of stock.

This is not Secretlab's first foray in collaborating with video game titles. Most would recall Secretlab's Mortal Kombat gaming chair, as well as its products for World of Warcraft. With the brand starting to work with Capcom, hopefully other titles such as Resident Evil will also be considered for future gaming chair designs.
