In Sea of Thieves, players can spend real money on cosmetic microtransactions at the Pirate Emporium, which can be found on the main menu and on outposts across the seas. Players will need to buy an amount of the Ancient Coins premium currency with their real currency to buy in-game customization items for their pirate and ship.

Season 2 of Sea of Thieves has just arrived, bringing a new Plunder Pass rewards track for players to work through by earning Renown for their adventures throughout the seas. All players that earn enough Renown will be able to unlock the Barrel Disguise emote too.

Pirate Emporium Location in Sea of Thieves

The Pirate Emporium can be accessed in two ways in Sea of Thieves. As soon as players log into the game, they will be presented with the “Choose Your Experience” menu that gives players the choice of playing Adventure or Arena mode. Also on this page is a box for the Pirate Emporium. Clicking on it will take players straight to the main store page where players can browse the exclusive items, including pets, and buy them using Ancient Coins.

The other method is available in-game once players have already loaded into Adventure mode. Pirate Emporium vendors can be found on every Outpost in Sea of Thieves. Speaking to them will also bring up the Emporium storefront, allowing players to buy items exactly like the previous method.

In Sea of Thieves, there are seven Outposts, each with its own Pirate Emporium shop and vendor. Each Outpost Emporium shop can be easily located by looking out for a few things. Players should look for the dark blue banner with several gold coins with skulls on them as this is the Pirate Emporium flag. Emporium shops are always found on top of Order of Souls shops too. They are accessible by some stairs, so players should also look out for the purple Order of Souls flag.

Finally, the name of every vendor NPC in Sea of Thieves starts with a letter that relates to their organization. In the case of the Pirate Emporium vendors, their names all begin with ‘E’, so players will definitely know they are in the right shop if they are speaking to Errol, Eduardo, or Earnest for example. Once inside, players need to speak to the vendor to see the Emporium’s stock.

Arena players can also access the Pirate Emporium by finding Ellis inside the Glorious Sea Dog Tavern, which serves as the main lobby between Arena matches.

Sea of Thieves is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
