Sea of Thieves has been through rough waters since its release, but has since been updating and patching the game to iron out some issues. A recent patch even added new ship customization options and now it seems another update has added even more content as well.

The patch, which is detailed on the game's website, adds even more customization options to Sea of Thieves, and not just for ships this time. The patch also includes an anniversary gift for players, but spoilers, it isn't flowers or a card. To mark the one month anniversary of the game, a new weapon called Launch Crew” Eye of Reach has been added to the store for 1 gold piece. It looks to be a makeshift sniper rifle, which uses a bottle for a scope.

The new customization options that will now be available include new clothing options, such as Rotten Bilge Rat or Ruffian Sea Dog sets, along with Imperial Sovereign and Admiral outfits. There are even new ship cosmetic options, some of which match with the new clothing sets, like Grand Admiral and Ruffian Sea Dog. The same cosmetic options have also been unlocked for a variety  ofweapons, as well. Shopkeepers will also now have distinctive items based on their region.

The patch also addresses some gameplay issues that fans had been making the developer aware of. The accuracy of skeleton cannons firing on ships from shore at longer ranges has been reduced. Players can no longer request Merchant Voyages to deliver to a specific outpost location, meaning players will have to go out and get it themselves. The bells on small ships have been moved to keep players from ringing them by accident when trying to be stealthy. Invulnerability during parts of the tutorial has now been removed, as well.

Some other minor issues were fixed, some of which dealt with UI or performance. Players who use a controller can now bind Stow and Disengage to the same button. For PC players, an issue where rebinding the F key caused the radial menu to softlock has been fixed. Full patch notes can be found here.

Sea of Thieves is now available on PC and Xbox One.
