The director of the game explained why the game is being released on the Xbox Series X, "Good performance of the game is important to us. Xbox Series X is a very capable hardware that enables parity with the PC version of the game." With this in mind, it seems to be a logical step for the developer as it will increase the possible audience for the game, and Peklar described the decision to bring Scorn to the Xbox Series X as "very simple." Interestingly, Peklar claimed that "We can’t discuss any info regarding PlayStation” and this may be because of a legal issue baring discussion, or because the developer simply does not know details about the console. Many fans of the PlayStation consoles will hope that this statement is connected to a lack of official knowledge rather than the upcoming console under-performing when compared to the Xbox Series X.
