Now that the dust has settled following the legal battle between Scarlett Johansson and Disney, the actress is sticking with Marvel for a brand new venture. Marvel Studios will team up with Johansson once again, as the actress is set to produce a secret Marvel project unrelated to her Black Widow character.

The news broke out after Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige hinted at the mysterious project while paying tribute to Johansson in recognition of her being awarded the American Cinematheque Award. Feige would go on to add during the ceremony that the collaboration between Marvel and Johansson has nothing to do with her Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff character.

"We are already working with Scarlett on another non-Black Widow-related top-secret Marvel Studios project with her as a producer," shared Feige while on stage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "Scarlett is one of the most talented, versatile, and beloved actors of our time. It has truly been a pleasure to work with someone of her caliber, from the epic training sessions preparing for the hallway fight in Iron Man 2 to the around-the-world press tour for Avengers: Endgame to partnering with you as a producer on Black Widow." Feige would further add that working with Johansson has been one of the most memorable and rewarding collaborations of his career.

Johansson was credited as executive producer for Black Widow, the first film from Phase Four that kicked things off back in July. Feige added that Johansson's vision of making Black Widow was something truly special. "From our very first few meetings, it was clear she had a vision for this movie, how to tell this story," Feige recalled. He would also go on to praise Johansson's deep level of character connections that are depicted in the film.

The big announcement of Johansson returning to Marvel is noteworthy due to the actress filing a lawsuit against Disney in July over an alleged contract breach, as Black Widow was released on Disney Plus at the same time it was playing in theaters. Reports later confirmed that the two parties reached an agreement. Putting that aside, Johansson's experience working in the MCU will no doubt translate to something unique and powerful on-screen, as she is also the first MCU actor to produce a Marvel Studios project.

While Black Widow concluded Natasha's story, characters like Yelena (Florence Pugh), Alexei (David Harbour), and Melina (Rachel Weisz) are left more open-ended, as they are seen gathering up other widows in the film's finale before heading off in their separate ways. In the Black Widow post-credits scene, Yelena is approached by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julie Louis-Dreyfuss) and instructed to hunt down Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), the man she thinks is responsible for her sister's death. Yelena will make an exciting appearance in Disney Plus' upcoming 6-part Hawkeye series starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld. The series' first two episodes are set to release on November 24th.

Black Widow is now available to stream on Disney Plus.
