Bandai Namco's Scarlet Nexus has seen critical and commercial success since it released last year. This action-RPG combines Japanese culture with various cyberpunk and sci-fi elements, with an in-depth combat system that also has spectacular anime-esque visuals. The game has also received a few updates post-launch from Bandai Namco, including a set of three DLC packs. The third and final DLC Pack for Scarlet Nexus focuses on antagonist Karen Travers, exploring his backstory and relationships.

The sales of the game were boosted last year when Scarlet Nexus was brought to the Xbox Game Pass alongside AI: The Somnium Files. It's an enticing JRPG for Game Pass subscribers, especially for those who were interested in similar PlayStation exclusives such as Persona 5. It also helps that Xbox did a lot of marketing for Scarlet Nexus as well when it first launched on the consoles, with a demo for the game being a timed exclusive to Xbox a few weeks before its launch.

Xbox Game Pass adding Scarlet Nexus has undoubtedly helped the game reach a wider audience, while also providing an increase in sales for the game and its DLC. So much so that the official Japanese Twitter account announced that Scarlet Nexus had reached over one million copies sold worldwide. These numbers include both digital downloads and physical versions of the game. The Scarlet Nexus account then noted that, thanks to the number of players who have been playing using Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, the player base had exceeded over two million gamers.

The account thanked players for helping Scarlet Nexus achieve this impressive milestone, with the post including a brand-new image by Scarlet Nexus concept artist Tamami Ishikawa. This illustration had almost every single major character from the game present, with protagonists Yuito and Kasane front and center. Overall, this post should put a smile on the face of anyone that is a fan of the game.

Kenji Anabuki, the director of the game, has stated before that Scarlet Nexus is standing out by being a new IP, with its launch on the Xbox Game Pass service helping to bring the game recognition, something that is evident here. For players who are on the fence about Scarlet Nexus, a new story demo just released on the Microsoft store for Xbox, so they can try out a small portion of the game for themselves. This demo will allow save data transfer to the full game as well.

Scarlet Nexus is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
