Though the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic may make trick-or-treating almost impossible, it has not stopped people from dressing up for Halloween, probably to try to get some sense of normalcy in what has been a tumultuous year. Out of the people who are going all out with their costumes this year despite circumstances are celebrities, who often have the time and resources to be able to get something impressive going.

Model Gigi Hadid has posted images of her in a notable Halloween costume: Samus Aran from the Metroid series. The post, captioned with "choose your player," features four photos of Hadid dressed in the iconic Zero Suit. One of the images is stickered with a GIF of Samus doing the default dance from Fortnite.

Hadid also posted several other images in her story, including one of her one-month-old daughter and the baby's father, former One Direction member Zayn Malik, dressed as a Slytherin student. The model, who has made 35 appearances on international Vogue magazine covers over the span of four years, gave birth to her and Malik's daughter back in September.

It is always fun to see the gaming world crossover with the celebrity world during this time of the year, with many cool costumes being seen such as rapper Big Sean and singer Jhené Aiko dressed as Among Us crewmates. While Hadid's Zero Suit costume may not be on the scale of a Power Suit, the level of detail is still impressive.

As for the Metroid series itself, Metroid Prime 4 is still in the works after it was announced back in 2017, with its development restarting in early 2019. Retro Studios appear to be making some progress with the project, hiring former Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto producer Marisa PalumboMetroid Prime 4 is set to be the first mainline entry in the historic franchise since 2010's Metroid: Other M (with 2017's Metroid: Samus Returns being a reimagining of 1991's Metroid 2).

Retro Studios has been hiring a lot of talent for what is set to be their biggest project yet. The pedigree of their staff is impressive, from God of War and Call of Duty to Mirror's Edge and Battlefield. The Austin, Texas-based developer and Nintendo subsidiary is still hiring people, with no release date or period confirmed for Metroid Prime 4. It appears that in the minds of the public, Samus Aran has not been forgotten, with Hadid's Halloween costume probably going to remind many that Metroid Prime 4 is on the way.
