New gameplay footage has surfaced for Samurai Warriors 5, the latest entry into the hack and slash series developed by Omega Force and KOEI Tecmo. Whether it is Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Hyrule Warriors, or others, there are plenty of Warriors-style games that many enjoy. But even though there have been quite a few spin-offs as of late, fans have waited a while for Samurai Warriors 5, so finally seeing new gameplay is something that many will be grateful for.

Samurai Warriors 5 was confirmed during a Nintendo Direct last month, and the game will be headed to the Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Fans have been anticipating the fifth entry in the series for quite some time, as Samurai Warriors 4 was released back in 2014. This game is set to be a fresh re-imagining of the franchise, and the newest footage sets the table for what fans can expect.

Recently a live stream for Samurai Warriors 5 was announced and took place on March 24. The stream covered a lot about the game, including loads of high-octane gameplay that fans of the Warriors franchise should certainly enjoy.

The live stream and the gameplay footage give a hint at the new storyline, altered character design, change in visual style, and more. Fans of the series should have a lot to look forward to with Samurai Warriors 5, and the wait should not be too much longer, as the hack and slash game is set to release over the summer.
