With less than a week until the game’s official release on all major platforms, it’s only a matter of time before these Saints Row: The Third Cherished Memories become our own memories as we experience all Volition’s game has to offer. But thankfully there’s still a few more days to squeeze in a couple more of these fun trailers, starting with number eight.

Though it isn’t as intense as the airplane sequence seen in one of the game’s previous gameplay trailers, this Cherished Memory trailer confirms two features for the game: the parachute and car surfing.

Much like Just Cause, Saints Row: The Third will allow players to leap from tall buildings, deploy a chute, and hover to the ground below for some surprise attacks. We don’t, however, figure the parachute to be as a versatile as the one in Just Cause, but this is a game that continues to surprise us.

The other feature being touted in the trailer is the game’s vehicle surfing mechanic. It’s like any other “balancing act” mini-game, where the player must keep a marker in the center of a fluctuating meter. What makes this Saints Row: The Third, though, is that the player will be rewarded with a multiplier for successfully vehicle surfing for an extended period of time, seen here on a STAG jet.

There’s still plenty more of the Saints Row: The Third experience these Cherished Memories trailers have yet to explore, like the game’s version of a horde mode, but I’d say gamers have a pretty clear picture of what’s in store for them. It might not be the flashiest, or the most anticipated game, but Saints Row: The Third provides a ton of opportunities to enact some cool stunts.

We’re currently knee deep in the game, so look out for our review in the next week or so.
