Volition has confirmed that a major update will be coming to Saints Row by the end of November. The Saints Row reboot released earlier this year hasn't had the impact that Volition and publisher Deep Silver were likely hoping for. Not only is it a dramatic departure from the Saints Row franchise that came before, but the new game has suffered from significant bugs and other issues. A November patch could set up Saints Row for a resurgence during the holiday sales, though.Work has continued to be done on Saints Row since it launched in August, of course. September's Hotfix #2 delivered a diverse range of fixes for co-op, mission progression, game crashes and more. An October post from Volition detailed initial plans for the upcoming November patch, as well as long-term promises to continue supporting Saints Row with story content and free gameplay experiences. It's what Saints Row fans wanted to hear, even if the ultimate message was a request for patience.RELATED: Saints Row Player Makes Character That Looks Like The Incredible HulkThe November update will be delivering on Saints Row players' criticisms in multiple ways. Specific changes aren't listed, but Volition touches on some general goals and focuses for the November update. These include ensuring co-op play works as intended, that collectibles and challenges work and complete as expected, and that the game overall receives some polish in certain key areas.

Quality of life changes to improve Saints Row's gameplay are also coming in the November patch. Big changes like an overall pass on combat balance are included. But bigger criticisms have also been addressed as Saints Row has been further optimized. For example, there will be more Saints roaming completed districts, new ways to manage player vehicles, as well as more pedestrians and police. The result should be a fuller Saints Row world to explore and have fun in.

Volition says it has over 200 fixes planned for the update to address a significant number of bugs or other small issues. Many of these Saints Row fixes are said to have only come to fruition due to player feedback, so Volition is thankful to players for their efforts. While specific bugs weren't mentioned, Volition did mention bringing back haptic feedback for PS5 controllers.

There is no firm release date for the November Saints Row update. It's been "completed, tested, submitted," and is ready to arrive as soon as it's approved by each platform. Volition expects it to go out "later this month," though some platforms will receive it earlier than others. Stay tuned for more information regarding the November update, as well as more details on Saints Row's post-launch roadmap, in the weeks to come.

Saints Row is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
