Saints Row lets players take down enemies in many varying ways. With a variety of weapons available to players, there's a lot to choose from. But what if players could grab two guns at once? Surely all forms of mayhem would ensue. Luckily for those playing Saints Row, the game allows players to dual-wield weapons provided the conditions are met.

How to Dual Wield Weapons

Saints Row allows players to dual-wield weapons as a perk. Perks are various upgrades to the player which can alter their play style. Players can have a maximum of two minor perks, two major perks, and an elite perk, which must be unlocked via money on the player's cellphone.

Players can unlock perks by completing challenges within the game, which are slowly released to players as they progress. The dual-wielding perk is only available in the latter part of the game as it's the 20th perk players can unlock, meaning players will have to complete a bunch of challenges before grabbing the perk.

Dual Wielding in Saints Row is a major perk and will require the player to purchase the first major perk slot for $25,000 or the second for $100,000.

Challenges can be found on the in-game phone and offer side objectives for Saints Row players while they progress through the story. These side objectives can vary from carjacking, taking photos, and buying outfits.

Each challenge contains multiple side objectives for players to complete; for example, one challenge may require one to travel a certain amount on foot and a certain amount via car. Completing these two side objectives will grant the player the Sightseer Challenge. And completing challenges gives players experience.

Players will need to complete 19 challenges at least to unlock the Dual Wielding perk. It's a good idea for players to choose a strategy on how to progress through their challenge log, as some challenges may only require two side objectives instead of three. However, some side objectives are much easier to perform than others, so players may opt to pick a challenge with more side objectives as they might be less time-consuming.

What Weapons Can Players Dual Wield

Saints Row Dual Wield

Once the player has the Dual Wielding perk equipped, they'll automatically equip a second weapon. However, regardless of how wacky Saints Row 2022 can be, the developers only allow players to dual-wield weapons of the SMG or pistol class. So unfortunately players aren't able to duel wield some of the best weapons like rocket launchers or sniper rifles and wreak absolute havoc.

Dual Wielding weapons will double the magazine of the weapon being used; however, it also doubles the fire rate and the rate at which players consume ammo. However, dual-wielding weapons also double the player's damage output and can really allow for some mayhem.

Saints Row is available now for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
