The Saints Row series has always embraced a more wacky style of gameplay, though this element has only grown more pronounced as the series progressed. By Saints Row 4, gamers were playing as the US president taking on an alien invasion while stuck in a simulation. Though the superpowers and unbridled chaos that came with it were a blast for many gamers, plenty of longtime fans point to Saints Row 4 as the moment the series jumped the shark. However, the craziest part of the game is probably not the gameplay, but one of the available editions.

To promote the game, a very special, one-of-a-kind edition was released, and the perks make one quickly forget that there is even a game included. It features a sports car, international trips, and even car insurance. Calling the edition life-changing is not an overstatement, as it also includes plastic surgery and a space flight. Though largely a joke, the Saints Row 4 Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition epitomizes the lengths the series will go for the sake of zaniness.

When Saints Row 4 was released in 2013, it came in a few editions, with a special limited edition bundle containing a Johnny Gat statuette and a replica of the Dubstep Gun which is one of the most fun weapons in the game. For players with a million dollars lying around, there was also the Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition which came with bonuses that went far beyond the Saints Row universe. As one might expect, the bundle came with the game, as well as a replica of the Dubstep Gun. However, it also came with a new wardrobe, a Lamborghini Gallardo, and a Toyota Prius, as well as a year of auto insurance.

The bundle is not for couch potatoes because it also includes plenty of experiences, including a week for two at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington DC and 7 nights at the Top Royal Suite at the Burj Al-Arab, Dubai. Getting there will also be a breeze thanks to the included first-class flights to Dubai and Washington. After a relaxing holiday, the owner of the bundle can raise their adrenaline with a spy training day, a hostage rescue experience, and a Virgin Galactic space flight, to ensure their experience is truly out of this world. One will walk away feeling and looking like a brand-new person because the bundle also includes a personal shopper and plastic surgery.

It is not known if anyone ever purchased the million-dollar video game, although it is no longer on sale. Likely, Deep Silver never intended for anyone to seriously purchase it, as the upcoming Saints Row reboot had its own joke edition revealed on April Fool's day, though this time it was worth $100,000,000. The buyer would become CEO of Deep Silver, get a book deal, have their student loan debts paid, and would receive a pre-owned mega-yacht and a fleet of expensive cars, among other benefits.

The Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition represents Saints Row at the height of its zaniness, and it was an era where the series was always attempting to outdo itself and give gamers a more bizarre experience than the last. With the upcoming reboot, the developers have taken a more grounded approach, though the chaotic fun that characterizes the series will still be present. Before its release, gamers can design their playable characters with Saints Row Boss Factory.

Saints Row 4 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
