Launching last year alongside the debut of the PlayStation 5, Sackboy: A Big Adventure provided players with a new adventure set in the LittleBigPlanet universe, offering platforming gameplay, cooperative multiplayer, and the official return of franchise mascot Sackboy. Following its launch, developer Sumo Digital has worked on several post-launch updates, adding outfits to celebrate the release of some prominent PlayStation titles.

As of today, players can get their hands on a new batch of post-launch costumes, with Sumo Digital confirming that Sackboy: A Big Adventure's latest update will add The Last of Us 2-themed DLC. Announced via the game's official Twitter account, an additional pair of outfits based on Naughty Dog's recent sequel will be available starting September 26 and can be acquired via the PlayStation Store.

As for what fans will be able to download, the costumes will allow them to bring The Last of Us 2 protagonists Ellie and Abby to the colorful platformer. The Ellie outfit centers around the character's look during her Seattle segments, featuring her long brown hair, grey overshirt, and hunting bow. Similar to Ellie, Sackboy: A Big Adventure's take on Abby also replicates her appearance during her Seattle chapters, featuring her blonde hair, black tank top, and hammer. Both outfits seem to be a fun ode to the post-apocalyptic adventure, which hit PlayStation 4 in June of last year.

As mentioned before, Ellie and Abby aren't the only characters to get their own costumes in Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Ratchet, Clank, and Rivet all got tie-in outfits to celebrate the release of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart earlier this year, meanwhile, Returnal and Destruction All-Stars also got costumes to commemorate their launch. Fans can even play as some of the PlayStation 4's most revered heroes, with costumes for Ghost of Tsushima's Jin Sakai, Detroit: Become Human's Connor, Day's Gone's Deacon St John, and Death Stranding's Sam Porter Bridges all cropping up as part of the game's Digital Deluxe Edition.

It'll be interesting to see whether Sackboy: A Big Adventure adds more cosmetics in the future, especially with PlayStation having a stacked lineup for 2022. Whether Horizon: Forbidden West, Forspoken, Sifu, Ghostwire Tokyo, or God of War: Ragnarok, there are tons of titles that could spawn perfect costumes for the zany world Sumo Digital has created. In the meantime, players can make their way through Sackboy: A Big Adventure's main campaign as The Last of Us 2's warring protagonists.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is out now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
