Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has revealed what he thinks of Disney now being in charge of the Deadpool series. While the first two Deadpool movies were produced and distributed by 20th Century Fox, the series changed hands when Disney bought Fox in 2019.

Reynolds, who is also the producer on the new ABC game show Don't, spoke to Total Film Magazine about what Disney's purchase of Fox could mean for Deadpool 3. While the star admitted that "it’s just all so new with it being over at Marvel now," Reynolds seems to have a positive feeling about things as he is "a huge fan of Marvel, and how they make movies." Reynolds also said that "when Disney bought Fox, I only saw that as a good thing" and he thinks it's "just a win for everyone involved."

One of the big concerns that fans have is if Deadpool 3 will not be an R-rated film and if it could lose some of its humor. Fans love Deadpool's personality and the humor that Reynolds, who has also told fans not to rent his older movie Green Lantern, brings to the role.

However, some seem to be forgetting that while Disney does make more family-friendly movies and TV shows, the Fox acquisition also means that it owns series like Family Guy. Few would say that Family Guy is family-friendly, despite its name, and the show's humor also hasn't changed since Fox was bought by Disney. It seems like nothing much has been officially confirmed about the film but Reynolds' positivity about Deadpool 3 will also make fans feel good.

Deadpool 3 has been confirmed but does not have a release date.
