Anyone that hasn't been living under a rock knows what Grand Theft Auto is, but for some it's just too modern. Everywhere one looks, there's cars, guns, and cell phones, an issue that Modus Games set out to fix. Rustler is a similar game, but it's set in Medieval times instead, referring to itself as "Grand Theft Horse." While the game has been available in Early Access on Steam since 2019, it's now been revealed that players will soon be able to enjoy the medieval mayhem on consoles as well.

The most recent trailer shown by Modus Games gives fans an overview of exactly what Rustler is, an open world game where players can "become a thug in a medieval environment." There are also several other game modes shown, including jousting and questing. Those unfamiliar with Rustler should get a pretty good idea just from watching the trailer below.

At the very end of the trailer, logos for the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S are all shown, indicating that the game will be coming to these consoles in the near future. Unfortunately, there was no release date given other than "when the time comes," so fans may still have to wait a bit.

Of note, games don't typically launch on console while still in Early Access, which means the full version of the PC game may be just around the corner as well. Nothing about this was mentioned in the trailer, however, so this is all purely speculation. In any case, keep an eye on Modus Games for more updates about Rustler and its imminent console release.

Rustler is in Early Access on Steam and is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
