One of the greatest achievements that a RuneScape 3 player can earn is the completionist cape. Since its addition back in 2011, players have been working toward receiving one. Despite how long the cape has been out, only a small percentage of RuneScape 3's players have earned a cape. According to the most recent statistic, less than 3% of players have obtained one.

What makes receiving a completionist cape so difficult is the sheer amount of requirements. Even just one of the requirements is a long-term achievement for most players. The amount of achievements required is ever-expanding, and will most likely grow even in 2021. While the list of achievements may look daunting, they can be broken down into smaller, more attainable goals.

10 Player Owned Ports

Before beginning your journey down the completionist rabbit-hole, be sure to start ports. This is by far the most annoying achievement to do, simply due to how time-locked it is. This minigame requires you to build and send ships off to explore the Waiko isles. Each journey takes many hours to complete, depending on your progress.

You will start off early in ports by collecting materials to upgrade your ship and collect crew members. After getting the best ship parts and crew from a region, you then must explore the next. Progressing to the next region becomes more difficult and time-consuming as you go on. You can also upgrade buildings in your port as you go, so be sure to invest in that as well.

9 Music Tracks

RuneScape's music is one of the reasons why the game has survived for as long as it has. While obtaining all the music tracks can seem like a truly daunting task, it isn't actually too difficult. What makes this achievement hard is that in order to complete it, you must complete every quest. Completing all the quests is itself an achievement requirement for the completionist cape.

You will likely unlock most of the music tracks on your journeys through Gielinor. This is especially true as you complete more and more quests. However, you may have a few in particular leftover at the end. Luckily, by clicking on the unfound music track, it will tell you where to unlock it. Keep note that in order to receive the boss music tracks, you don't actually have to beat the bosses. Just enter into the fight and leave, and you should have them unlocked.

8 Player Owned Farms

Player-owned farms are one of the reasons why many RuneScape 3 players refer to the game as dailyscape. The grind to 120 farming is much easier when you begin to fill out your personal farm. While you still have to check it daily, it's a really good investment into the future of your account.

There are 2 small, 2 medium, and 2 large pens as well as a single breeding pen for you to place animals into. Be sure to place the best animal you can at the time in the pens to maximize your exp gains. If you have the appropriate level, Anachronia has some dinosaur pens for you to fill out as well.

7 Herb Bag

Herby Werby minigame in Runescape 3

The herb bag may be one of the most useful tools currently in RuneScape 3. Its usefulness is on-par with, if not better than, items like the gem bag, herbicide, and seedicide. The herb bag can be used to automatically collect up to 100 of each herb type while farming monsters.

Getting access to the herb bag and its upgrades is one of the achievements required for the completionist cape. While it is not a difficult task to acquire, it may be one of the most useful items on your RuneScape 3 adventures. Be sure to get one before going for 120 slayer.

6 The Arc

Gaining access to the Arc and its spoils can be done very early on in the game. However, to really take full advantage of the isle's resources it is recommended to have level 90 in one of ten different skills. These skills are woodcutting, fishing, farming, hunter, mining, divination, construction, cooking, fletching, and slayer.

Up until you have one of these skills at 90, there isn't much to do on the isles to earn chimes. However, once you do, be sure to add this to your daily grind. You will be glad you did, because you will be rewarded with some amazing items.

5 Dungeoneering Recipes

One of the more tedious grinds in RuneScape 3 is going for 120 dungeoneering. While the grind is a bit overwhelming for some, it is important to collect potion recipes throughout the dungeons as you go. Otherwise, you will have to continue farming dungeoneering after 120 to find them all.

One way you can be sure to collect all the recipes is to use the 'Consistent Yak' card once entering a floor. This card can be bought from Bryll Thoksdottir, who can be found right outside of Daemonheim. He will sell both solo and team cards, but which one you get is random. If you are having trouble finding a recipe, be sure to use this option.

4 Livid Farm

Livid Farm isn't necessarily a difficult grind, nor as heavily time-locked as others. However, it is surely one of the most boring grinds. At the very minimum this grind will take you around 23 hours. That's assuming you do the activity perfectly for hours on end with no break. Now is especially a good time to do this task, as you will have more players to chat with while you do it.

A less torturous way of completing this task is to purchase livid plants at the traveling merchant. Assuming you are still early on in the grind for the completionist cape, be sure to invest in this option. Each plant costs 1 million gold, but gives you anywhere from 10k to 40k produce points. Getting all the produce points needed will cost you 43 million gold. If you are lucky, it will cost you 11 million gold.

3 Anachronia Camp

Another one of RuneScape 3's many time-locked achievements is completing the Anachronia camp. To reach this goal will take you at a minimum 880 hours of waiting. Start this as early as you can. The 36 day minimum wait is no joke.

The recommended method of completion is to simply rotate between building the storehouse, sleeping quarters, and town hall. It is important to build them in that order one tier at a time to maximize your resources. Otherwise you will end up spending even more than 880 hours of waiting.

2 Questing

Quests have been added consistently throughout RuneScape 3's lifespan. Due to the large number of quests, completing them all can take quite some time. While some can take minutes, others can take hours of time to complete. While not crucial, starting early on this grind can be extremely helpful. You definitely want to finish this one before the game potentially comes to consoles.

There are quite a large number of amazing items you get through questing. Each one can help with a multitude of other tasks across Gielinor. Not only that, but there are a lot of requirements that are directly involved with completing all the quests. Doing the quests as you unlock them is one of the fastest ways to reach all the completionist cape goals.

1 Master Slayer

By far one of the most beneficial completionist cape goals is reaching 120 slayer. Do you need money, status, fame, glory? Well 120 slayer can give you one of them at least. If you need money, going for 120 slayer is one of the best ways to get it.

In RuneScape 3, gold helps you with pretty much everything you are working to complete. By extension, going for 120 slayer is one of the most helpful tasks you can work towards early. By achieving this goal players can propel themselves quickly towards finishing most other completionist cape requirements.
