PlayStation Plus will soon get a massive revamp as Sony converts it into a three-tiered service, with each level offering different benefits. However, the core of PlayStation Plus remains the same, and current subscriptions will convert to the Essential tier. It comes with all the bonuses of the current PS Plus model, including the monthly games, cloud saves, and extra discounts.

While PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will get access to hundreds of games, members from all tiers will continue to get free games every month. Dealabs has proven to be a reliable leaker of these free games in the past, and the site usually leaks the free games right before the official announcement. While every leak should be taken with a grain of salt, Dealabs has been correct on several occasions and appears to be a credible source, and the site has now leaked the PS Plus games for May 2022.

According to Dealabs, the free PlayStation Plus games for May 2022 include FIFA 22 (PS4/PS5), Tribes of Midgard (PS4/PS5), and Curse of the Dead Gods (PS4). The leaker mentions that this is the first FIFA game to be a part of PS Plus and states that these games will be available from May 3 to June 7. PS Plus subscribers in Asia should note that they sometimes get different free games, as one title is replaced or even added to that month’s selection.

Fifa-22-ea

This lineup of games looks solid, with FIFA 22 being the month’s highlight. It’s probably the most noteworthy free PS Plus game of 2022 so far. Team of the Season is arguably the biggest in-game event in every FIFA game, and it starts in just a few days. So now is a great time for players to jump into FIFA 22 and build their teams with some of the highest-rated cards in the game.

Curse of the Dead Gods is a roguelike and Tribes of Midgard is a co-op action RPG with survival elements. Both games launched to a relatively positive reception last year, and it looks like the free PS Plus games for May are reasonably varied. Sony will likely confirm the official lineup tomorrow. Some PS Plus subscribers were not happy with the free games offered in April, and it’ll be interesting to see how fans respond to this announcement. The free PS Plus games for April 2022 are still available, and interested users have until May 2 to add them to their accounts.
