It looks like Angry Birds Christmas is coming and that it will be slamming into mobile gaming devices like the iPhone and iPad soon. The latest rumor suggests the game will hit sometime in December.

The game's release officially remains a rumor for now as developer Rovio has yet to confirm its existence but it really should not come as that big of a surprise. Angry Birds has been nothing but a huge success and Angry Birds Halloween only followed in those footsteps. Rovio even hinted at a Christmas version via its Twitter account shortly after Angry Birds Halloween was released. Now confirmation and an alleged screenshot of Angry Birds Christmas comes from MTV3.fi, the website of a Finnish TV station.

While there is no mention of price or platform, assuming a $0.99 price and release for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad seems logical. Angry Birds has seen its share of success on the Android now too, but Angry Birds Halloween was released only on Apple iOS devices. Perhaps Angry Birds Christmas will see a joint release. Who knows, maybe a Windows Phone 7 release is possible too?

We do know, however, that Rovio has declared Saturday, December 11 to be 'Angry Birds Day'. They have even set up an 'Angry Birds Day' website to help people organize Angry Birds flash mobs for the day. Seeing as how Rovio has declared December 11 as 'Angry Birds Day,' assuming a December 11 release for Angry Birds Christmas is not that far of a stretch.

Angry Birds was my go-to iPhone game for a good amount of time and while I never picked up Angry Birds Halloween, I could see wanting to revisit the Birds again come December. The games are just fun.
