The latest leaks suggest that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 may be due to receive a Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare-themed store bundle. Infinity Ward's previous sci-fi COD offering may have been all but forgotten as the franchise regained its modern-day setting, but a few notable pieces of evidence suggest that something is up with the game's more iconic characters and assets. While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hasn't been quite as heavily datamined as one would expect it to be, certain curious tidbits of information are getting through via an occasional leak. Up until now, these haven't always been accurate or correct, so it's worth keeping some reservations about the claims that are being made. The latest such leak, however, has a few things going for it that seemingly make it more believable than most other such leaks have been.RELATED: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Bug Causes Player to Die Twice to Same GrenadeA Twitter COD leaker, CODMW2Informer, has posted that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's E3N bot appears to be coming to the game's store via a bundle offering. The source of this leak hasn't been brought up, but it's immediately worth pointing out that a curious sniper rifle icon has been popping up for players using the SPX-80 rifle. Though it looks like the original Modern Warfare 2's legendary Intervention at first, players have figured out that it is, in fact, the icon of the Widowmaker rifle from COD: Infinite Warfare. In effect, this means there are now two separate pieces of evidence to suggest the presence of Infinite Warfare content in the new Modern Warfare 2.

Naturally, it's still worth taking this leak with a pinch of salt, as Infinity Ward hasn't officially announced whether E3N will or will not be making its way into Modern Warfare 2 at any point. If the leaks are true, however, it's possible that the fan-favorite bot could be a part of Modern Warfare 2's Season 1 festivities.

Infinite Warfare never quite reached the heights of some of the community's most beloved COD titles, but many feel that Infinite Warfare's campaign deserves more appreciation regardless. This is in no small part due to E3N itself, as the personable bot plays a major role in the game's main story mode.

Releasing a special bundle featuring E3N and the Widowmaker rifle would certainly be a boon for fans of Infinite Warfare, though it's obvious that the bot would stand out a fair bit compared to the rest of the game's more grounded operator and weapon designs. That being said, the alleged upcoming release of customizable killcams in Modern Warfare 2 is bound to make the game feel more ridiculous, so it's currently anyone's guess whether these leaks are true or not.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
