Every battle royale needs a way of distributing players across the map before bringing them all together for the final confrontation. Many games solve this problem by allowing players to drop onto the map from above, soaring down to whatever location they believe will give them the biggest advantage over their enemies.

BR brawler Rumbleverse is no different on the surface, but the game's unique melee mechanics make fights play out quite differently than they otherwise would in a traditional ranged battle royale. Players looking to polish their gameplay and just have more fun will naturally want to know what drop spots in the game are the best. Here's everything a player needs to know about picking the best place to land.

How To Pick The Best Place To Land

Rumbleverse - Skyscraper Drop

In Rumbleverse and other games like Fortnite, one's playstyle helps determine what places are the best to land. Players with a sweatier, more confrontational style are going to be eager to get into fights as soon as possible, competing with other players for the best loop, so they'll want high-tier drop locations that are popular with others. Players who like to take their time, rat their way through matches, or just prefer a less risky beginning will want drop locations farther from the initial chaos.

A player won't know what every part of the map has to offer in terms of loot, player density, or defensive advantages until they've explored, so the number one tip for picking a good place to land is to explore as much of the map as possible. Once the player has more experience under their belt, it's easier to know what one's looking for. Rumbleverse is a great battle royale for beginners, but it still takes time to master.

Arguably the most obvious drop location is also one of the best in the game, albeit only for players with an aggressive playstyle. The massive skyscraper in the center of the map is the very definition of a hot drop, with high-tier loot and unique architecture making it easy to spot, desirable to scavenge, and an advantageous position if others are below. Because the skyscraper is one of the most popular drops in the game, dropping there is a good way to guarantee some early fights.

The disadvantage, of course, is that if one is still building up one's skills (or just has some bad luck), dropping here can be the quickest way to die. The Bell Tower is a good alternative for players looking for a high-tier loot and combat zone, offering good loot and a superior vantage point at the top. In wacky competitive games like this, knowing one's skill is important but sometimes it's good to just jump into the fray.

The Gazebogon (the many-sided blue Gazebo with open sides, located in the park) is an excellent and underrated drop location that often has great loot boxes but only a fraction of the players that the Skyscraper does. With protection from surprise elbows thanks to the roof, coupled with easy escape routes in any direction thanks to the open walls, the Gazebogon gives players of many different skill levels a fighting chance both during the drop and later in the match.

Another excellent drop location is the highway. Many players ignore this location because, compared to other flashier and more impressive locations, it simply isn't much to look at. Players who pass on it based on aesthetics alone are making a mistake, as the highway is a quality loot location that most players ignore, letting players that go there set their own pace for the match.

Players thinking about dropping there will want to make sure they land on the highest part of the highway, however, as the slopes and lower sections aren't as easy to see attackers coming. There are things the player can do in every BR that will cost them victory, and in Rumbleverse, losing height advantage can be one.

Rumbleverse is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series One and X/S.
