The CW's television drama "Arrowverse," comprised of a handful of shows based on DC Comics' properties, has been steadily growing in size over the last few years. It was recently announced that Batwoman and the upcoming additional show Superman and Lois would be headlining the universe's next crossover event, however now it seems a different Kate Kane may be taking on the cowl for it.

Ruby Rose will be leaving her post as Batwoman for Season 2 of the new Arrowverse television show according to a statement published by Deadline in which she said, "This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew, and everyone involved." No reason was given why she made her decision, though rumor suggests it was due to the recording schedule rather than an injury Rose received filming Season 1.

The CW has renewed all its Arrowverse shows as well as other popular programs like Riverdale, so Batwoman will be recast. Supposedly Warner Bros. is committed to "casting another LGBTQ actress in the groundbreaking role."
