Reggie Fils-Aime, the former President of Nintendo of America, has landed himself another new job. Publisher Rogue Games has announced that it has signed on Reggie as a strategic advisor on its board of directors.

2020 has been a big year for console games with the announcement of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X. Rogue Games, an LA-based publisher of small to medium-sized indie games for PC and mobile, is looking to jump into the console market. That's why it has brought on Reggie Fils-Aime to provide his console expertise for the upcoming next generation of consoles. Co-founder and CEO Matt Casamassina said that Reggie "brings to the table his unrivaled experience in the console arena which is invaluable to us as we expand our portfolio to include incredible games on Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation and PC.”

“When Rogue shared its console vision with me and I saw the first games that will be arriving this summer on platforms like Nintendo Switch, I was immediately impressed by the levels of ambition and innovation,” Reggie said.  “I’m always on the lookout for fast-growing and innovative companies that are ready to shape the future of games and I’m excited to join Rogue in their mission to unite and simplify games publishing across all platforms.” Rogue Games has been an early adoptor in mobile games services like Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass with games like Super Impossible RoadOutsider: After Life, and Hexaflip: The Action Puzzler. One of their upcoming titles for Steam is a single-player strategy card game called Arcanium.
