Rogue Company, the tactical shooter from Hi-Rez Studios and First Watch Games, finds its variety mainly in its roster of playable characters, similar to other hero-shooters like Valorant and Overwatch. That pool of choices has now become a little larger, as Hi-Rez and First Watch have officially announced the game’s newest playable Rogue, Dahlia.

This weekend saw Rogue Company switch to a free-to-play open beta following the closed beta it has been in since July. In the process, Hi-Rez and First Watch added the long-rumored Dahlia to the game, and released a new trailer providing a quick overview of what players can expect from her team-centric skillset.

Since Dahlia’s reveal trailer was leaked early, many players already had an idea of what she would be capable of. Dahlia sports an arsenal consisting of a new SMG called the Objection, the MX-R marksman rifle, a katana, as well as smoke and frag grenades. Her character ability, Danger Close, allows her to link up with a teammate for the duration of a round and revive them instantly. Meanwhile her passive, Buddy System, provides her with her linked ally’s passive during the round.

Alongside that, Hi-Rez and First Watch have revealed that Dahlia comes with a new perk called Lifeline that reduces revive times from 5 seconds to 2.5, while also healing revived Rogues instantly. This, on top of her abilities, really drive home Dahlia’s role as a support character, which will be good for Rogue Company players who prefer to help their teammates out.

Rogue Company is free-to-play for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
