One thing many gamers are speculating about right now is the next project for open-world game developer Rockstar, and two very prevalent rumors involve the development of Bully 2 and Grand Theft Auto 6. Regardless of which project it is, there are several job listings that have piqued the interest of those awaiting Rockstar's next title.

While Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online may be what Rockstar fans are most focused on right now, the bevy of Grand Theft Auto 6 rumors that have been trickling down have given GTA fans potential glimpses at what may be to come with Grand Theft Auto 6. It is unknown whether the next title will be on current-gen platforms or next-gen platforms. However, one analyst has predicted that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still a few years off, meaning that the series' sixth numbered entry would likely be on next-generation consoles.

Multiple job listings on Rockstar's Careers page may give gamers some insight regarding their future projects. Specifically, multiple listings for "Environment Artist" and "Environment Terrain Artist" at various Rockstar locations state that selected applicants will join Rockstar to "create next-generation worlds for exciting upcoming projects" and "create immersive, living and fully-realised environments."

It is also said that Environment Artists will be "responsible for creating exciting and believable artwork, building and texturing environment assets for the biggest and best open world environments in the industry." While many credit Red Dead Redemption 2 for presenting players with some of the best graphics in gaming, this description indicates that Rockstar is taking their prowess in open-world design to the next level.

It is purely up for debate as to which games these "next-generation worlds" belong to. It has been previously reported that Rockstar has multiple unannounced games in development, so the job description might refer to several projects or Rockstar open-world games generally. However, given the amount of leaks and rumors that have come out regarding Grand Theft Auto 6 and Bully 2 to a lesser degree, these job listings may well be for the next installment in Rockstar's series of urban mayhem.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumored to be in development at the moment.
