Rockstar Games may have released its award-winning cowboy adventure, Red Dead Redemption 2 just a few months ago, but that doesn't mean that the studio plans to rest on its laurels. It seems that Rockstar is already rearing to go on its next project and it is planning big things for the next-generation of consoles.

That's according to multiple job listings found on the Rockstar Games website. One job listing, for a senior environment artist at Rockstar India, explains that candidates will be working with the development team to "create next-generation worlds for some exciting upcoming projects." Candidates can't just have strong modeling and texturing skills, says the listing, as the hired artist "must be able to create immersive, living, and fully-realized environments" as well.

At Rockstar New York, meanwhile, the famed video game developer is hiring a mocap tools developer to "help create and build upon the next generation of MoCap tools and pipeline." The hired developer will be working on"some of the largest scale projects to be found in any entertainment medium," says the listing. Considering that Red Dead Redemption 2 already features the largest map ever created by Rockstar, this listing may indicate that the studio's next project will somehow be even bigger.

Unsurprisingly for this famously tight-lipped studio, the job listings don't provide any hints at exactly what Rockstar will be working on next. But that doesn't mean that fans can't speculate.

One game that fans can safely rule out is Agent, the long-in-development shooter that was announced all the way back in 2007. Although the studio has renewed the Agent trademark repeatedly throughout the years, Rockstar finally abandoned it a couple of months ago. It seems pretty reasonable to think that Agent has been canned.

Other popular suggestions may be Bully 2. Fans have been calling for a sequel to the schoolyard sandbox ever since the first game released back in 2006. Although 12 years have passed, fans are still eager for a new game in the series, as evidenced by the way people responded to (apparently) fake Bully 2 concept art that did the rounds last year.

Some may even want Rockstar Games to develop Red Dead Redemption 3. The studio is thinking about it and it has confirmed that it already has some ideas on where it could take the franchise next. However, whether or not the developer is actively working on the project is unclear for now.
