Developer Rockstar Games has announced the bonuses coming this week for its popular wild west multiplayer title Red Dead Online. This week Red Dead Online's bonuses are focused primarily on hunting, but there are some other bonuses for players as well.

Red Dead Online originally launched as the multiplayer component to Red Dead Redemption 2 before releasing as a standalone title last December. The game sees players completing missions and stepping into roles such as hunter, moonshiner, and bounty hunter on large servers. While it may not have gained the sizable playerbase to match Grand Theft Auto OnlineRed Dead Online has still received a lot of support from Rockstar Games.

This week's bonuses for hunters are pretty generous, so any player who hasn't started hunting in Red Dead Online may want to start. Players who kill and skin any Legendary Animal this week will receive 100 rounds of Nitro Express Ammo for the Elephant Rifle, as well as tonics to help their characters gain and lose weight. Players who take their Legendary Animal carcass to Gus' Store will also receive two Fast Travel Rewards, a Snowy Egret Plume, and a 40 percent discount on Established or Distinguished Naturalist items if they craft a trinket or coat while they're there.

For players who are less interested in hunting, they will receive double the money reward for completing Free Roam Missions across the map. The week also brings a variety of sales for all players. Of course, Red Dead Online wouldn't be a wild west game without horses and players can pick up American Paint and Andalusian horses for 40 percent off, as well as half off blankets, saddle horns, and bedrolls. Players will also be able to purchase all rifles for 30 percent off alongside various clothing items at a discount.

The weekly bonuses are pretty generous, and the sales are a good way for new and returning players to get a head start on hunting down Legendary Animals. For players who aren't interested in hunting, the weekly bonuses rotate frequently and highlight different aspects of Red Dead Online. It has been great to see how Rockstar has supported Red Dead Online since release, and it will be interesting to see what is in the game's future. For this week at least, now is a great time to be a hunter in Red Dead Online.

Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
