Football season has reached its apex and this weekend marks our most holiest of Sundays: The Superbowl. Friends and family gather around the television to enjoy the primitive action only football can deliver and to drink it all down with a beer or possibly some nacho cheese.  For those wondering what to do after the game, our friends at Harmonix and MTV games have the perfect solution for you: Rock Band's "The Who Super Bowl S-mashup."

Yes, if one mediocre halftime show simply wasn't enough for you, then search your couch for $1.99 (160 MS Points, or 200 Wii Points) and you'll receive a special recording of the Who's performance.  Check out the songs here:

“The Who Super Bowl S-mashup” joins 15 previously released tracks available in the Rock Band music library from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.  Those songs include “Won’t Get Fooled Again” featured on the original Rock Band disc and “Pinball Wizard” featured on the Rock Band 2 disc, as well as “Amazing Journey,” “Baba O’Riley,” “Behind Blue Eyes,” “Eminence Front,” “Going Mobile,” “Leaving Here,” “Magic Bus,” “My Generation,” “Real Good Looking Boy,” “Sea and Sand,” “Summertime Blues,” “Who Are You” and “Young Man Blues,” all released as downloadable content in the Rock Band Music Store.

The Super Bowl-themed DLC will be available for the XBox 360 and Wii immediately after the game. As in the past, the PS3 will receive the red-headed stepchild treatment as Harmonix only promises that the system will receive the DLC at some unknown time in the future. When you've got millions of fans all primed up on light beer and testosterone, classic rock and some plastic peripherals translates into a genius move on Harmonix's part. If only they could stream this instead of the halftime show.

Think you'll be interested in some performing some Pete Townshend-inspired windmills after the game? More importantly, where do you stand on the actual game, Colts or Saints? Or are you just part of the, "I watch the game for the commercials," crowd? I've got $20 on the Saints, but I'm really just watching for the guacamole. Oh yeah.
