How to Unlock Risk of Rain 2's Timed Chest
In order to unlock Risk of Rain 2's timed chest, those playing single player will need to reach the cache in 10 minutes, while those playing multiplayer will have 15 minutes to do so. To meet this timeline, players should simply make unlocking the timed chest the primary objective of their run, taking care not to get too distracted by things like getting Risk of Rain 2's Lunar Coins on their way.
As such, players that want to unlock the timed chest are advised to select the easy difficulty setting to make clearing levels as simple as possible. With the difficulty selected, and the run initiated, players should be certain to know how to find teleporters in Risk of Rain 2, and then use those strategies to reach, and use, the first level's teleporter as quickly as possible.

Reports suggest that timed chests will spawn in a random location in Risk of Rain 2's third level. Of course, player should continue to move with swiftness when searching to be certain that they beat the chest's timer. Here are a number of reported spawn locations for the timed chest:
- At the base of the antenna on the cliff
- Near a fence at the bottom of the cliff with the antenna
- In a container near the map's center
