During the Ubisoft Forward event earlier today, the company revealed new details about Riders Republic, offering a gameplay deep dive and confirming a release date. The multiplayer extreme sports game will hit shelves on September 2, launching for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Stadia.

As for the new footage, it shows off even more of Riders Republic's exhilarating action, as players compete in various events using bikes, snowboards, wingsuits, and more. Specifically, the latest look at the game spends much longer detailing Riders Republic's competitions, highlighting several events fans will be able to compete in.

When booting up the game, players will have a lineup of adrenaline-pumping activities to hop into, with the clip showcasing point-based snowboard contests, fast-paced wingsuit courses, and a series of chaotic "mass races." The latter look to be frantic, spectacle-fueled events, as tons of players battle it out in high-stakes marathons to see who can be first to cross the finish line. The trailer concludes with the confirmation that players can register for a chance to take part in upcoming betas slated for later this year.

Riders Republic first made its debut back in September 2020, initially penciling in a February 2021 release date for the extreme sports MMO. Unfortunately, the developers revealed earlier this year that they needed more time to fully capitalize on the project's ambitious concept, delaying the game indefinitely. The main crux of the experience sees players roam a giant open world, performing crazy stunts, competing in intense downhill races with friends, and enjoying high-octane, team-based competitions. These activities will be spread over several maps based on famous North American national parks, including Yosemite, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Sequoia Park, and Mammoth Mountain.

The new gameplay trailer joins an array of upcoming titles shown off during Ubisoft's Forward event, including Rainbow Six: Extraction, Far Cry 6, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, and more. The convention kicks off a weekend of major E3 showcases, including a broadcast from Microsoft and Bethesda, a livestream from Square Enix, and Nintendo's annual E3 Direct. This is the first time the convention has ever been all-digital, meaning attendees can interact with the show through its online portal, where there are virtual booths to visit, digital lounges to relax at, and even leaderboards, allowing fans to compete against each other. It will run from today until June 15.

Riders Republic is slated to launch on September 2 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Stadia.
