Adult Swim released Rick And Morty Season 5 back in June, and fans seem to be smitten as to what they have seen so far from the season. Rick and Morty season 5 contains a total of ten episodes. However, it’s been announced that Rick And Morty will be taking a brief hiatus from the screen.

The Adult Swim series usually releases a new episode every Sunday, but there's been a sudden halt in the schedule. The season 5 finale, comprised of two back-to-back episodes, will be airing on September 5th. The titles of the final two episodes can be found on IMDb: "Forgetting Sarick Mortshall" and "Rickmurai Jack." These episodes were set to air on the 22nd and 29th of August.

Of course, the series would be nothing without the iconic duo of Rick and Morty, but the trailer questions just how they would be on their own individual journeys. Adult Swim released a short teaser for the two-episode finale. It appears to hint at even more tension between the titular duo. While this has been a recurring theme throughout the series, it's likely that the writing staff will find a way to make yet another disagreement between Rick and Morty fresh.

The teaser finds Morty once again causing trouble with Rick's stuff. In this case, it's his trusty portal gun. Obviously, Rick and Morty have just about had it with each other, which leads Rick to Spin a wheel of Morty replacements. Although he lands on "two crows," other options include "Jerry (spin again)," "Kyle 2.0," and "sentient s***."

With the trailer teasing major growths and transformation in two characters -  it’s evident that the finale is going to be a very crucial and important episode for the series. Season 5 has had its ups and downs already, with some episodes standing out as excellent entries, and others falling flat. While the quality of the season has varied from adventure to adventure, the brilliant writers (some of whom have gone on to work with Kevin Feige over at Marvel Studios) will likely deliver a solid, satisfying finale. Hopefully, this break in between the series will not be dragged out any longer than two weeks. However, this pause will get fans even that more excited, knowing that the finale will without a doubt be worth the wait.
