Twitch streamer and One True King (OTK) co-founder Rich Campbell has resigned from the entertainment company after being accused of sexual assault. Campbell has been part of OTK since 2020, together with fellow streamers like Mizkif, Asmongold, Esfand, and Emiru.
Before the accusations arose, the Twitch streamer caught the attention of people after sharing a clip from his girlfriend Mia Malkova's Pillow Talk interview, where she revealed that her boyfriend had a "pregnant fetish." In a tweet, Campbell said he had an awkward conversation with his parents after they saw it on Instagram, which his followers found hilarious at the time.
The laughs didn't last long after Twitch streamer Azalialexi confirmed Malkova's story, and alleged that Campbell said that he wanted to get her pregnant while assaulting her. In a TwitLonger, she shared a disturbing account of her experience with Campbell, which involved non-consensual acts done towards Azalialexi. After the accusations went viral, Campbell tweeted that he resigned from OTK, saying that he plans on sharing his side of the story. OTK also released a statement confirming this, also emphasizing that it "stands firmly against sexual harassment and assault."
OTK fans were disappointed and angry over Campbell's alleged actions, as well as his statement. Many urged him to admit his wrongdoing, while some seemed disheartened that a streamer they found funny was being accused of sexual assault. Others also went back to Campbell's pregnant fetish tweet and said that it didn't age well. Meanwhile, followers of OTK also sent their well-wishes to the other members who might be affected by the news. Both Esfand and Asmongold have not addressed the accusations against Campbell, but they retweeted OTK's statement on their respective Twitter pages.
This is the second time that a member of OTK has been involved in controversy. In September, Mizkif was accused of covering up Adrianah Lee's sexual assault from CrazySlick. The streamer took a leave of absence from his streaming and his duties in OTK as the company conducts a third-party investigation on the situation. Overall, it seems to have been a difficult few months for OTK.
Whether the accusations against Campbell are true or not, it's still important for people like Azalialexi to not be silenced and be able to speak about their troubling experiences.
