The system requirements for Housemarque's popular game Returnal were recently revealed, and they're quite demanding. For those who don't know, Returnal is a third-person shooter with roguelike elements and features procedurally generated levels. The game is set on the fictional planet Atropos, where the player controls the protagonist Selene as she attempts to escape the planet. The game features permadeath, meaning that when the player dies, they must restart from the beginning.

The most recent example of Sony’s commitment was the release of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on Steam and Epic Games Store.

Despite being considered by many to be one of the best third-person shooter games available, Returnal's hefty PC requirements may disappoint some of its potential players because not everyone can afford a high-end PC. Returnal is a game that is all about repetition and learning from mistakes. Every time a player dies, they are sent back to the beginning of the game, but with all the knowledge and experience they have gained from previous runs. This makes for a uniquely challenging and addicting experience that is sure to please many PC players.

Returnal is available now for PS5, with a PC version in development.
