Like most other modern point-and-click adventure games, the PC version of Return to Monkey Island features full achievement support. There are 39 of them in total, which, for completionists, can serve as a great way to squeeze a bit more enjoyment from the title. However, due to the missable nature of some of these achievements, their inclusion can also be a tad frustrating.
While a few of the game's achievements will be unlocked automatically during a typical playthrough, most will require players to go a little out of their way. Many are easily missed too, particularly if players don't already know exactly what they're looking for. Those hoping to unlock every achievement in Return to Monkey Island may therefore want to consider using a guide to keep them on track.
Many of the achievements in Return to Monkey Island are missable, including Free Wally, which requires players to plan ahead. Conversely, several of the Part 1 achievements can be unlocked during Part 4, while the Dead Dead Dead achievement can be unlocked at various points during parts 2, 3, and 4.
