After stealing LeChuck's map and attempting to use it to reach the secret of Monkey Island, Return to Monkey Island players will learn that the map they've been following is in fact a fake. The real one was intercepted by Captain Madison and the other pirate leaders before it ever made its way to LeChuck, though they've been unable to do anything with it due to its advanced encryption.

In order for the map to reveal its secrets, the pirate leaders are going to need three of LeChuck's; those being his theme song, his catchphrase, and his favorite food. As Guybrush is still able to get on board LeChuck's ship, the three leaders agree to split the secret with him if he can help them to find this personal information.

How to Board LeChuck's Ship

In order to get reboard LeChuck's ship, players will need to head to the Volcano Beach area and then down into the water. If they walk to the left a little, they'll eventually come to the ship's anchor and will be able to climb it to get onto the side of the ship. From here, they can reach the ship's rudder by heading left or get up onto the deck by climbing up the ladder to their right.

First, players should go down to the rudder and speak with Gullet, who's a little more pleasant now that Guybrush is in his human form. They'll need to speak with him about his notebook and then help him with his poetry by choosing rhyming words from the options provided. Once the poem is completed, players should ask for the poetry book and then show him the business card from the museum curator, which convinces him to hand over the Gullet's Poems item.

Next, players should make their way back up to the side of the ship and climb up onto the deck using the ladder to the right. Unfortunately, Flair will be waiting for them there and she's not at all happy to see Guybrush. It soon turns out that although Guybrush can technically still step foot on the boat due to him having never actually been fired, he's no longer welcome there and will be unceremoniously thrown overboard.

At this point, players should return to the giant monkey head and explain the situation to the three pirate leaders. Lila will reveal that she can use dark magic to help disguise Guybrush, though she'll need a deeply personal item from one of LeChuck's crew members. Luckily, Gullet's book of poems will do just nicely, so players should hand it over to her once the conversation ends. They'll then be able to read the poems to make Guybrush look like Gullet, which effectively gives him unrestricted access to the ship.

How to Find LeChuck's Theme Song

With a new disguise now sorted, players should return to LeChuck's ship and use the poetry book to transform before heading up to the deck. After a short conversation with Flair, who leaves to crack on with some important work, they can have a quick chat with Apple Bob to learn that LeChuck recently commissioned somebody to compose him a theme song.

As it turns out, that person was Flair. Sadly, she won't just hand it over, but if players ring the bell once to call for another vote, she'll head back up onto the deck, allowing players to go downstairs and grab the Sheet Music from on top of the barrel outside the entrance to the kitchen. Examining the stolen sheet music will reveal that LeChuck's theme song is Do, Do, Mi, Sol, Fa, Fa, Re.

How to Find LeChuck's Catchphrase

While they're down beneath the deck, players should pay a visit to LeChuck's cabin. There, on a shelf to their right, they'll be able to grab LeChuck's Diary. As one might expect, it's full of his inane ramblings, but, by flicking through its pages a little, they'll eventually find themselves on the entry for February 17, which reveals that LeChuck's catchphrase is "Brandish the seven bilges!" Technically, he does change it to something else not too long after, but ends up reverting back to the February 17 catchphrase at a later date.

How to Find LeChuck's Favorite Food

In order to find out LeChuck's favorite food, players will need to head back up onto the deck so that the crew members return to their business. Once they do, players should head down to the kitchen and speak with Putra. Initially, she has no interest in helping, but if players call her Chef, she'll reveal that LeChuck's favorite food is Tentacles with daisy sauce. Players can then return to Volcano beach and use the knife with the dead squid to get a Tentacle. If they give the tentacle to Putra, she'll cook them up a portion of Tentacles with Daisy Sauce.
